Making your own stock can seem daunting & time-consuming, but it really takes very little work.
Homemade stock is amazingly good, and totally worth the extra effort.
One whole chicken
Four celery stalks
One onion, halved
Two bay leaves
Put everything in your slow cooker
Cover in water & simmer on medium for 4-8 hours
Remove chicken & veg
Strip meat from chicken and use in another recipe
